The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) has published the latest edition of its popular customer magazine, Letterbox. Edition eight focuses on the theme of being ‘stronger together’, celebrating industry partnerships, collaboration and continued support for each other in the Private Rented Sector (PRS). The magazine is free to customers of TDS as one of the many benefits of membership.

“Over the past few months, a clear theme has emerged: we are stronger together. Whether it has been about working together, but from home, or establishing new working relationships, the outcome is the same: when we come together and support each other in the industry, great things can happen. The past year has shown how important teamwork is for the greater good and this theme is echoed throughout this season’s edition of Letterbox,” commented Steve Harriott, CEO of TDS.

As we are still in uncertain times, we felt now more than ever that we should focus on the importance of our relationships. We have recently formed strong working relationships with both Inventory Hive and The Depositary as well as continuing our positive work with Propertymark, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) and Propertychecklists to name but a few. TDS recognises the key role the relationships with our partners play in raising standards in the PRS.

Letterbox Magazine

This edition of Letterbox features all the hard work and projects that have been undertaken over the second half of 2020. In July, our parent company, the Dispute Service, launched a new mediation service, TDS Resolution, to help landlords and tenants resolve rent arrears problems without the need for court action. In addition, the successful TDS Academy was also brought into the online environment to provide property professionals with invaluable training in tenancy deposit protection and reducing tenancy deposit disputes.

Popular Letterbox content ‘The Adjudicator’, ‘TDS Trends’ and ’10 Things’ all feature in edition 8. ’10 things’ will inform you about what needs to be included in inventory reports and how they can be the key to avoiding or minimising disputes. ‘TDS Trends’ delves into the results of a recent landlord survey, revealing what landlords really think about student lets and how they have been affected by Covid-19.

Also, inside Letterbox is a reader competition ‘#TDSvideofunnies’. Whether a colleague has been spotted in their PJs or pets have made an unwanted appearance on Zoom, we want to know about it! The best entries will be in with a chance of winning a prize from TDS. Find out more details about how to enter inside Letterbox. The magazine also celebrates the 10-year anniversary of CEO Steve Harriott. The company has gone from strength to strength under Steve’s watch, overseeing the launch of numerous new services.

Letterbox concludes with a look to the future, keeping readers up to date with everything they have to look forward to for the rest of 2021. To find out more, read the latest version of Letterbox magazine here.
