TDS Academy provides property professionals with invaluable training in Tenancy Deposit Protection (TDP) and tenancy deposit disputes. As a result of lockdown, the TDS Academy moved online and has so far been met with a great reception by those who have attended. After a successful start , Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) have added more course dates to  TDS Academy online, offering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training in the virtual environment.

Hundreds of landlords and letting agents have already benefitted from the Academy’s courses that give all delegates a deeper understanding of the finer points of tenancy deposits, the legislation and tenancy deposit disputes.

“The last few months have shown us all how effective virtual events can be when face-to-face attendance isn’t possible. The launch of TDS Academy online is a natural step forward following the popularity of our webinars and seminars during lockdown” explained John King, Head of Member Services at TDS.

The Adjudication Workshop and Foundation Course in Tenancy Deposit Legislation will be split into two 1.5 hour sessions respectively and will qualify for three hours of certificated Continuing Professional Development (CPD) per course.

The courses are ideal for property managers, administrators, inventory suppliers and landlords.

“We know that online training differs greatly from traditional face-to-face learning. The TDS Academy team will be delivering the teaching program in a positive and inclusive environment, giving all delegates the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the trainers throughout each session” added John.

With the option of face-to-face courses being removed the adapted online version of TDS Academy has been met with a great response by those who have attended so far.

“Our lettings staff found the TDS training very beneficial and they all felt that the actual content of the material, plus the way it was presented, was very informative and helpful” said one letting agent attendee.

The last TDS Academy Foundation Course in legislation, registration & preparation of 2020 will be ran on the 14th and 15th December presented by John King, with further dates planned to continue online learning already in place for January 20th and 21st 2021.

The Adjudication Workshops, to be presented by Martin Wilks and Sandy Bastin are also scheduled to continue and will be back in December on the 14th and 15th. This course is also returning in 2021 with planned dates of the 27th and 28th of January.

“Until we can meet again TDS training goes global and the ‘Virtual Academy’ is the place to go. I’m so pleased to be back presenting our training course to delegates in a safe online environment and at great value for money price” added John.
